Cookie Policy
Last updated: 31 August 2026
1. About this policy
This Cookie Policy explains how IPP Committee in Action uses cookies and similar technologies on ippcommitteeinaction.com. It should be read alongside our Privacy Notice.
If you have any questions, contact:
ippcommitteeinaction@yahoo.com
2. What cookies are
Cookies are small files placed on a computer, phone or other device when someone visits a website. They help websites operate securely, remember choices and understand how visitors use different pages and features. Similar technologies, including local storage, may perform comparable functions.
3. How we use cookies
Our website is hosted by Squarespace.
We use:
necessary cookies required for security and essential website functions;
preference cookies that remember a visitor’s cookie choices; and
analytics and performance cookies, but only where a visitor has consented.
We do not currently use cookies for targeted advertising.
4. Necessary cookies
Necessary cookies allow the website to operate securely and cannot be switched off through our cookie-management tool. They do not require consent where their use is strictly necessary.
Depending on the website feature being used, these may include:
Crumb
Purpose: Helps prevent cross-site request-forgery attacks and protects website security.
Duration: Session.

Duration: 30 minutes.
ss_performancecookiesAllowed

ss_marketingcookiesAllowed

Purpose: Remembers whether a visitor has liked a blog post, where that feature is available.
Storage: Local storage.
Duration: Persistent until cleared.
Security and anti-spam technologies
Squarespace forms may use security and anti-spam services, including reCAPTCHA, to protect the website from automated submissions and abuse. These services may process technical information necessary for security. Other necessary cookies may be used if a relevant Squarespace feature is introduced. We will review this policy when the website’s functions change.
5. Analytics and performance cookies
Analytics and performance cookies help us understand how the website is used.
They may collect information including:
browser, network and device information;
IP address;
pages visited;
referring pages;
clicks and internal links;
scrolling and searches; and
dates and times of visits.
This information helps us understand site traffic, identify technical problems and improve access to campaign and Inquiry information. These cookies are restricted unless and until the visitor consents. Squarespace may use the following analytics cookies after consent:
ss_cid
Purpose: Identifies unique visitors and tracks sessions.
Duration: Two years.
ss_cpvisit
Purpose: Identifies unique visitors and tracks sessions.
Duration: Two years.
ss_cvisit

Duration: 30 minutes.
ss_cvr

Duration: Two years.
ss_cvt
Purpose: Identifies visitors and tracks a session.
Duration: 30 minutes.
Our lawful basis for using analytics and performance cookies is the visitor’s consent.
6. Third-party content
Some pages may contain links to or embedded content from third parties, including video, social-media, fundraising, news, government or legal-information providers. An ordinary external link does not place that provider’s cookies through our website. If a visitor follows the link, the provider’s own privacy and cookie policies apply. Embedded content may allow its provider to place cookies or process technical information when the content is loaded. Where our Squarespace consent controls apply, non-essential cookies will remain restricted until consent is given. We do not control cookies placed directly by an external website after a visitor leaves our site.
7. Cookie choices
When visiting our website, visitors are offered three choices:
Accept All — allows necessary cookies and consents to permitted analytics and performance cookies;
Decline All — allows necessary cookies only; or
Manage Cookies — allows the visitor to choose individual categories.
Non-essential cookies are restricted until consent is provided. Consent can be withdrawn or changed at any time by selecting Cookie Preferences in the website’s subfooter. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that took place before consent was withdrawn.
8. Browser controls
Visitors may also block or delete cookies through their browser settings. Blocking all cookies may prevent parts of the website from operating correctly. Browser controls may need to be adjusted separately on each device and browser used.
9. International processing
Squarespace and other technology providers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where personal information is transferred internationally, appropriate legal safeguards should apply, including adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections. Further information is available in our Privacy Notice and Squarespace’s own privacy information.
10. Your rights
Depending on the circumstances, visitors may have rights concerning personal information associated with cookies, including rights to:
request access;
request correction;
request deletion;
restrict or object to processing;
withdraw consent; and
complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office.
To exercise a right, contact:
ippcommitteeinaction@yahoo.com
Information about the Information Commissioner’s Office is available at ico.org.uk.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Cookie Policy if our website, cookie use, connected services or legal responsibilities change. The latest version and update date will always be published on this page.
